An+Interview+with+Alek+Lesniak

Do you like muffins?  If so, then you better read The Adventures of Muffin Man!

I love this first book written by our very own, Alek Lesniak.  He now his second book coming out called Muffin Man 2: Attack of the Baker’s Dozen!

Alek Lesniak, the author of the book, allowed me interview him about how he first created his first book and a sneak peek of the second one which is coming out!

How did you come up with the idea of your first book?

Alek: “It’s a long story, but shortened, I love muffins (specifically chocolate chip ones!) and I love drawing, so I came up with the idea.”

How long did it take to make?

Aek: “It took three years, publishing process included.”

What years did you start and end making this book?

Alek: “2019-2022”

What were some flaws of making it?

Alek: “It was the amount of money spent on publishing and that it was a kids book written by a middle schooler.”

Did you have any events based on this book?

Alek: “There were two, a book signing at the Woodbridge Community Center and a reading with the mayor at Sewaren Library.”

How long did it take to make the second book?

Alek: “About two years, publishing included again.”

And finally, what’s your favorite part of your first book?

Alek:  “The ending.”
