Red is love,
Creating mesmerizing moments between two people,
Celebrating bonds on Valentines Day,
But red is also anger,
Slamming doors,
Shrieking and screaming,
Making it exceptionally difficult to control.
Red is blood,
Running through the body,
Spilling when hurt,
Saving lives when donated.
Red is the churn of a whisk,
Making a beautifully, rich cake,
Red is the oozing of glaze on top of cookies,
Freshly out of the oven,
It melts in your mouth,
Filling it with sugary sweetness.
Red is the dark, velvety strawberries,
Right out of the garden,
Red is a watermelon,
Perfect for a sunny day,
As it is soft, but slightly crunchy,
Flavoring your mouth in sweetness.
Red is both the sunset and sunrise,
Luring people to watch it,
On the horizon it stays,
And then fades away.
Red is the smack of lipstick on lips,
Is the blush as a boy engages a girl,
It is the velvet carpet,
As a celebrity walks through.
Red is the main source of scary stories.
The main food source of vampires,
It is the bright nose of a shadowy clown,
And red is the eye color of creepy dolls at night.
Red has many various forms,
It cannot be explained simply,
Red is very mysterious,
While it can be marvelous,
It can also be dreadful,
But all in all red is red forevermore.
