Olivia Rodrigo, one of the biggest influential pop-stars at the moment began her first tour on April 5, 2022 Portland, Oregon. The tour – called “The Sour Tour” is her debut concert tour, making this event extremely huge for the nineteen-year-old Rodrigo.

She first announced “The Sour Tour” on her social media accounts on December 6, 2021 making many fans excited to see their favorite artist perform live.

However, getting tickets for the tour was not easy at all. All the tickets sold in minutes since only fans who were chosen for “Verified Fans” were able to purchase them. Many factors contributed to why tickets sold this fast, but a big aspect was how Rodrigo chose a very small venue to perform in.

Olivia got a lot of backlash and hate from fans who wanted to attend the tour tremendously, but had problems ordering tickets for the show. Fans complained and ‘dissed’ the artist about this problem on many social media platforms, commonly on TikTok and in her own Instagram comments.

To clarify this subtle drama and issues, Rodrigo speaks up about it when asked in an interview.

Eventually, her first show on “The Sour Tour” arrived on April 5, 2022 in Portland Oregon. But, fans did not know what to expect and were all pleasantly surprised when another young artist, Gracie Abrams, started and opened up the show.

Abrams sang her lead single “Feels Like” for her EP, “This is What it Feels Like” to start off the show and proceeded to follow up with “Better”, “minor”, “21”, “Friend”, “Block me out”, “Camden”, “The Bottom”, “Wishful Thinking”, and “I miss you, I’m sorry”.

After, Olivia Rodrigo took the attention and sang, “brutal”, a popular single and first track of “Sour”. She then sang “jealousy, jealousy” and “drivers license” before covering “Complicated” an 2002 hit, by Avril Lavigne.

She then performed more songs off “Sour” right before singing “All I Want”, an original song written by herself written for Disney’s soundtrack for “Highschool Musical: The Musical: The series” and a cover of “Seether” by Veruca Salt.

As Rodrigo’s tour quickly comes to an end on July 7th, be on the lookout for a performance near you!
