Lost in a Book, A Poem

The fairies fly by

The villains all die

The girl becomes princess

The problems become past-tense

The future shines bright

The darkness no longer hides in plain sight

The damsel in distress is saved

The girl’s path well paved

Her long locks flow in the wind

The flashing smiles all pinned

If only our life was so simple as theirs

But they live in a world where nobody stares

They have perfect endings

While we end up pretending

The story as good as this one

Lost for hours until the chapters are finally done
