As Trump gets sworn in (inaugurated) as the 47th President of the United States on January 20th, here are some facts about Inauguration Day.
- It takes place between 73-79 days after the election.
- The president is only officially holding office once they get inaugurated, before that, they are called president-elect.
- This year’s inauguration will be held in the Capitol Building, as it is too cold to do it outside, which is where they usually do it.
- The first inaugurations were held on March 4 but are now on January 20.
- The president is required to swear an oath, which is the presidential oath-
