The New Jersey air blowing through the trees
I wonder why it is so at ease
I look out my window to see the sky
And see geese gliding by
The look of the sky above
So clear and warm in the summer sun
But as time goes by
so cold and chilly in the winter sky
I look to my left and see a deer
Running wild through the clear
The deer looks wild and free
Like a dove soaring through the peaks
The sound of dusk approaching the sky
I wonder when did the time go by
Bunnies jumping through the sound
And crickets in summer chirping all around
The big tree leaves fly.
As the autumn goes by
Off the Pine Barrens far down south
I see the myth of the Jersey devil
The boardwalk is so fresh and nice
It looks like a picture of paradise
The smell of snacks flows through the air
It makes me hungry with one stare
The ferris wheel so tall and wide
It makes everything look small standing by
The creaking planks under your feet
Makes everything feel so neat
People walking up and down
Wondering to go look around
BANG i hear a game being won
By a little girl with a nerf gun
She won a big prize with a smile
She looked around and said “Thank you, everyone”
A little boy looking sad and upset
She walked over and gave him it
I look to my right and see a sign
“Welcome to New Jersey” in big black lines
