Pi Day last Friday was an awesome celebration!
In case you didn’t know, Pi Day was based on the day 3.14, which is the simplified version of the mathematical symbol Pi, the ratio between the circle’s circumference and its diameter.
The celebration involves a vote to “pie a teacher” in the face. The teachers who were pied were Mr. Markos, Mr. Shanker, Mr. Prusik, and Mr. Mentzel.
The “mystery” staff member getting pied was our vice principal, Mrs. Davison-Nao!
Although, this does promote the idea of adding a tau day at our school, which is double pi at the date 6.28.
All in all, this event was a great way to end off the week by implementing math, even at the expense of some teachers!
