How is everyone so in love?

It’s so sappy,

Drowning in each other’s eyes

Forgetting all their cares

Who will buy me chocolates?

Who will buy me a teddy bear?

Who will tell me everything’s okay?

Who will shower me with gifts?

Who will..

Who will… 

Who will look me in the eyes and say they love me?

I want someone to hold me

Tell me that they do

But now,

That someone is you

Oh love..

Oh love..

I want you to buy me chocolates

I want you to buy me a teddy bear

I want you to shower me with gifts

I want you to tell me everything’s okay

I want to drown in your eyes

I want no worries in the world

But you don’t want me

Harshika Singh is a 7th grader at Colonia Middle School who loves writing and poetry. Her hobbies include reading, drawing, gardening, cooking, roller skating and chess when she can. Between balancing G&T and honors classes, she tries to have a good relationship with her friends and teachers. She also likes to play her trumpet in her band classes and ensembles. She loves her siblings and hopes to pursue a career in biology one day.

Sana Rehman is a seventh grader at CMS whose imagination knows no bounds, particularly in her G&T creative writing/theater arts class. While she enjoys the world of words, her true passion lay in the chilling realms of horror books, which draws her in with their eerie plots and suspenseful twists, keeping her on the edge of her seat. Sana feels most alive when she is exploring unfamiliar places, her spirit thriving with each new adventure. She dreams of wandering the misty highlands of Scotland, enchanted by tales of ancient castles and breathtaking landscapes. Her unique interests make her a captivating presence among others, especially since she’s always ready to share her latest read or recount an unforgettable adventure.
