Ms. Wilson’s Holiday Snowball Cookies

Ingredients:
· 1 ½ cups (3 sticks) butter, softened
· ¾ cup powdered sugar
· 1 Tbsp vanilla
· ½ tsp salt (I leave out when I use salted butter)
· 3 cups flour
· 1-10 oz package chocolate chips
· 3 tablespoons colored sprinkles (optional…just to look fancy)
· ½ cup finely chopped walnuts
· powdered sugar

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375*F.
2. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt in large mixer bowl until creamy.
3. Gradually beat in flour; stir in morsels, sprinkles, and nuts.
4. Shape level tablespoons of dough into 1 ¼ inch balls.
5. Place on ungreased baking sheets.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set and lightly browned.
7. Remove from oven and sift powdered sugar over cookies on baking sheets. Cool for 10 minutes.
8. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar, if desired
