“Dancing with the Stars” 30th season has just begun, but this year with a more inclusive twist.

Jojo Siwa and Jenna Johnson are making history as the first same-sex couple to compete on DWTS. They have both made quite an impact, advancing to the semifinals alongside Suni Lee, Sasha Farber, Amanda Kloots, and Alan Bersten among others.

Jenna and Jojo are working to normalize same-sex relationships, though this is quite a surprise to Jenna.

The Salt Lake Tribune quotes Jenna who said, “Even a few years ago, if you had told me I’d be dancing with a female partner on national TV, I probably would have laughed and not thought you were serious.”

Jojo, a former dancer on “Dance Moms” has gone on to stardom and fame. She has amounted to 12.2 million subscribers and over 3 billion views on her YouTube channel.

Jenna Johnson was on “So You Think You Can Dance” and has been with DWTS since 2016. She is currently married to Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

“But at the end of the day, this experience has already been more than anything I’ve ever done before that I’ve already won, and it’s been such a journey,” Jojo said as reported by ScreenRant.

Both women are elated to be able to compete together and are the perfect dance partners.
